Berry Delightful Calendar Easel with Notepad and Pen (Video Included)

Hey Crafty Friends!!  Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!!  We were able to have our sailor home for a few days.  That made my heart so happy, it was very difficult to put her back on that plane yesterday.  Hopefully the next visit will be a little longer.  

Today, I am sharing an Easel Calendar with a front pocket for a sticky note pad and small pen.  The inspiration for this particular project came from LeeAnn Greff, I adjusted the measurements a little This one is made using the Berry Delightful DSP, sneak peak product from Sale-A-Bration 2021 that starts on 5 January!!!





Project Details
  • Paper 
    • Poppy Parade CS 
      • Easel base 3 3/4 x 10 1/2, score at 1/2", 1 1/2", 2 1/2 and 6 1/2"
      • Box front 6 3/4' X 4 3/4", score on short side at 1/2" both sides, score on long side at 4" and 4 1/2" 
    • Berry Delightful DSP 
      • Inside box 3 5/8 x 3 1/2"
      • Box front 2" x 3 3/4"
      • Add-on to easel back 1 1/2" x 3 5/8"
    • Whisper White CS  3 5/8" x 3 7/8", for note on easel back
  • Tools 
    • Paper Trimmer 
    • Glue 
  • Extras






Tip: You will need to cut down the sides of the pocket about 1 3/4" from the top.  I measured down 1 3/4" and then cut below that mark at an angle.  Also, on the base the 1 1/2" score is folded opposite the other score marks to create an accordion fold.

STARS Monthly Mystery Card - A peek at Sale-A-Bration

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!!  Time to share the Mystery Card Challenge from out monthly STARS Team meeting.  This was a fun one.  My card is made using two Sale-A-Bration  products. Here is your peek a the fabulous A Touch of Ink stamp set and my favorite Paper Blooms DSP.  



Card Instructions

  1. Start with 11" x 4  1/4" card base, score at 4 1/4" and 5  1/2".  Fold at 5 1/2" and then fold 4  1/4" back to right to create card opening. 
  2. Apply adhesive side card base between fold and 4 1/4" score mark.  
  3. Cut DSP 4 " x 4" and 1" x  4"  and adhere to card front. 
  4. Stamp lined butterfly image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamp the color overlay with Calypso Coral.  Punch out with 2 1/4" circle punch and adhere to card front with dimensionals.
  5. Stamp and adhere sentiment with dimensionals. 
  6. Added some new Pastel Pearls (available in new Jan-Jun Mini Catalog). 




NEWS:  Sale-A-Bration starts 5 January 2021 through 28 February 2021 in conjunction with the launch of the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog.

Baking Cookies -- Cookie Packaging!! (recipe links included)

Hey Crafty Friends!!  This week has been crazy to say the least.  Lots of cookie baking and package mailing to family far and near.  Plus, cleaning house getting ready for our Sailor to come home for a week.

Back to baking, every Christmas holiday I like to bake biscotti and ginger cookies.  I made 4 batches of Spring Biscotti, substituting pecans for pistachios, we have lots of pecans in Texas.  I  tried a new recipe Vanilla Biscotti -- so yummy.  Then there was one batch of Peppermint Biscotti , a batch of Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti, and a new Gingerbread Biscotti that was hard as a rock, but tasted great after dipping in hot tea.  My house smelled so good.  Oh, yes there is one more, my all time favorite Better Homes and Gardens Giant Ginger Cookies -- I love these cookies.
