#DOswts357 - Color Blocking featuring Ornate Style Stamp Set

 

Hey Crafty Friends!!! It is time for another Stamping with the STARS Challenge.  I love our group of stampers and how we challenge and encourage each other, this is a great team.  If you would like to be part of this great team just ask me how.  I would love to have you join my team.

Today's challenge is Color Blocking with cardstock.  I chose the Ornate Style stamp set for the large image and the Subtle color palette.  I am very happy with the outcome, I kept this purposefully simple to focus on the technique.  #keepsimplestamping



Card Details 

  • Paper 
    • Highland Heather card base 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2"
    • Basic White CS layer 5 1/4" x 4"
    • Calypso Coral, Petal Pink, So Saffron, and Soft Sea Foam 1 1/8" x 3 1/2"
  • Stamps
    • Ornate Style
    • Butterfly Wishes
  • Ink
    • Memento Tuxedo Black 

TIP:  Here is a video showing how I created my color blocking with cardstock and the Stamparatus.  There are so many forms of color blocking and this is just one way to do quick and easy.

This was a really fun card to make, you should give Color Blocking with cardstock a try.  I would be great in squares or even circles -- now that would be a challenge.
