It's time again for the STARs Monthly Inspiration Hop, today it is all about the stamping using a baby wipe as the stamp pad. I have not used this technique in years and I forgot how fun it is to create multi color images. I used the single flower image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set. My card design is inspired by Maureen Rootes, a UK Demo.
- Paper
- Gorgeous Grape CS card base 11" x 4 1/4, score and fold at 5 1/2
- Basic White CS layer 5 1/4" x 4"
- Vellum 1 3/4" x 5"
- Scraps
- Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody, Melon Mambo
- Stamps
- 155082 Quiet Meadow or bundle w/ Meadow Dies 155487 (available 5/4)
- Ink
- Daffodil Delight
- Gorgeous Grape
- Highland Heather
- Mango Melody
- Melon Mambo
- Sahara Sand
- Versa Mark
- Embellishments
- Playful Alphabet Dies
- White Emboss Powder
- 155567 Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (available 5/4)
TIP: I secured the vellum to the backside of the Basic White layer using Stampin Seal and folding the edges toward the back of the card. Then after attaching the the die cut letter with glue I added a few glue dots hidden behind the letters to hold down the vellum. Second tip, Clear Epoxy Essentials can be colored with Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.
There are lots of videos on You Tube of the Baby Wipe Technique. Two main components are wipes and ink refills, then of course finding the perfect stamp for you project. Give this technique a try it is lots of fun and the color combos are endless.
Thanks for supporting my little business.
