Hey Crafty Friends!! I am so excited about this Throwback Thursday blog hop, where the task is to recreate an old project. So I reached back to July 10, 2017 and found a favorite that I wanted to remake. The technique is called, Ink Swiping, and I first learned about it on a blog post by Kim Jolley - a wonderful artist. This technique is not for everyone, but had fun playing with it and I suggest you give it a try.
Card Details- Paper
- Evening Evergreen card base - 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2'
- Soft Succulent cardstock layer - 4" x 5 1/4",
- Basic White cardstock layer - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4'
- Distressed Gold Specialty Paper - 1 1/2" x 3 1/2"
- Texture Chic Specialty Designer series Paper - 1 1/4" x 3 1/2"
- Ink
- Petal Pink, Soft Succulent and Mango Melody Re-Inkers
- Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin' Pad
- Used blender brush to add Petal Pink ink around the edges of white cardstock blending to center to tone down the bright white.
- Splattered ink with Petal Pink, Mango Melody and Soft Succulent Stampin' Write Markers.
- For leaves, I created a second ink swiping keeping swipes close together, then blended on some Petal Pink ink to tone down white. Die cut with Chic Dies leaf die.
- Stamped off Petal Pink ink splatter stamped on top of sentiment.
