Simple Sunday - Welcome Autumn

What better way to welcome Autumn than with a card stamped with fall leaves.  Although in Texas we are still having hot weather, our Fall tends to show up really quickly and all the leaves hit the ground almost overnight.  I miss the long lingering days of Fall back home in Delaware.

Card Recipe:
  • Stamp Set: Gather Together
  • Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Merry Merlot, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
  • Tools: Stampin' Spritzer,  Early Espresso Stampin' Write Marker
  • Stamping instructions:
    • Start with blank 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" Crumb Cake card base.
    • Spritz inked leaf stamp with water before stamping each leaf onto the card.  The water smudges the lines in the leaf.  Let dry prior to stamping different color and use mask if desired.
    • Once stamped leaves are dry use Early Espresso Stampin' Writer to flick ink onto the card front.
    • Stamp chosen sentiment in Early Espresso.  All done.  An easy card for a Sunday.

The Come to Gather stamp set is perfect for this time of year and I love the details in the leaf stamp.  This stamp set can be purchased alone, as part of a Bundle that includes a die set or as part of a perfectly coordinated Product Suite.  My choice was the suite, I could not resist as Fall is my favorite time of year.  One of my favorite things is the changing colors of the leaves.

I have done it!! I made a short video on how I created this card and I posted it to YouTube!! You can see it here.  I must thank fellow demo, Karen Titus, for sharing this technique.  It is fun and I think everyone should give a try.
