Share It Sunday Blog Hop - featuring Bamboo Beauty and Joseph's Coat Technique

Happy Halloween Crafty Friends!!  Today is another Share It Sunday Blog Hop hosted by Melva Peters and Crafty Collaborations.  Trying a technique new to me in this post, the Joseph's Coat.  There are many videos on YouTube demonstrating this technique and also on Split Coast Stampers.  I can't believe it took me years to give it a try.  It 's not perfect but I enjoyed making it and I will definitely make more cards like this.  Warning:  IT CAN BE MESSY.  lol

I used Bamboo Beauty for my card, it can be found on page 49 of the annual catalog. I love this stamp set it reminds me of my time in Japan. I lived in Japan for 8 years and that is where I met and married my hubby of 32 years. Did you know that bamboo can be grown in different colors? I found that out when doing a little bamboo research.

  3. I love the colors you used on this card and love this technique! I'm so glad you love bamboo, because I have a love hate relationship with it. My previous home had it growing wild in the back yard, and it is almost impossible to keep under control. Grows so fast! What I do love about it was the fishing poles made from it that my deceased husband and I used to spend many wonderful hours fishing together.
