Blackberry Bliss and Layered Florals Embossing Folder - yummy combination

Hey Friends!!  It is time for another Monochrome Friday Insta-Hop, featuring Blackberry Bliss a very rich and yummy color.  I sponged White Pearlized Enamel Effects over Layered Florals dry embossed layer to add highlight and shimmer.  I think this card is simply elegant or elegantly simple.

    • Blackbetrry Bliss card base - 11" x 4 1/4, score & fold at 5 1/2
    • Blackberry Bliss embossed layer - 4" x 5 1/4"

Applying the Pearlized Enamel Effects with a sponge gave me the best results for the effect I was wanting. I think that any crafting sponge will work.  I just love how all the embossed images just standout.  Very quick and easy way to highlight embossed images.  Video below.

    Waterfront Catalog Card Case

Hello and welcome to my second October catalog card case.  Today, my one and only son, Sam, turned 16.  To celebrate his birthday we had his favorite birthday cake, Pecan Pie.  Happy Birthday son, I love you!!

This week I am featuring projects made with the Waterfront stamp set.  I have had this stamp set for a long time and this is the first card I made with it.  It is a lovely set and I think it will make great masculine cards.  Here is my stepped up version of a card on page 149 of the 30th Anniversary Annual Catalog.
    Measurements:
    Blackberry Bliss base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
    Mint Macaron 5 1/4 x 4
    Whisper White 5 x 3 3/8

    Ink:
    Mint Macaron and Blackberry Bliss

Tip: The original card in the magazine is stamped on a 3 1/2 x 5 note card.  I prefer A4 size cards (5 1/2 x 4 1/4). I added a car base and a layer to achieve the desired card size and to make the stamped colors pop.
