Hopping Around Again - Colorful Seasons Background - Happy Fall!!

Hey crafty friends!! Today I am participating in an international training blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci.  I am part of a world-wide group of Stampin' Up! (r) demonstrators training with Kylie to help our businesses grow.  Here is my creation for today!!!

Card Measurements:
Crushed Curry base 11' x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2", plus scrap for die cut
Early Espresso layer 5 1/4" x 4 1/8", plus scrap for die cut
Very Vanilla layer 5 1/4" x 4 (x2, liner)

TIP: To create the background I die cut several leaves from the Seasonal Layers dies, applied a light coat of Liquid Glue -- let it dry, so it became repositionable. Love the "Green Glue".  Then I  randomly placed leaves on the Very Vanilla layer and used the sponge brayers to apply the ink.  Used Stampin' Sponge to add more ink giving more definition to some leaves.  Removed the die cuts and background is done!!

Simple Sunday - Colorful Seasons Falling Leaves - Three Ways!!

Welcome to another Simple Sunday.  It is my favorite day to stamp!! We have finally had some Fall weather in my part of Texas, granted it only lasted for one day.  I am sure we will have more real soon.  To celebrate I made another simply stamped falling leaves cards.  This time I used the fabulous Colorful Seasons stamp set.  If you want a set that covers all the seasons this is it.  Snow flakes, leaves, branches, flowers, beach chairs, etc.  It inspires relaxation. This project was inspired by Linda Callahan's card created in 2017.

Card Recipe:
  • Stamp Set: Colorful Seasons
  • Paper: Old Olive 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4", Very Vanilla 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Crushed Curry
  • Tools: Stampin' Spritzer,  Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker
  • Stamping instructions:
    • Stamp sentiment in lower left corner with Sahara Sand.
    • Use Cajun Craze for small solid leaf, stamping off and spritzing before stamping.
    • Stamp large leaf with Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie, lightly spritzing before stamping onto cardstock.
    • Once all the leaves are stamped Old Olive Stampin' Writer to flick ink onto the card front.  I love a speckled card.
    • All done.  An easy card for a Sunday.

Tip:  My first attempt at this card just stamped the leaves and found them a bit boring.  Then I made a second card with the die cut leaves and that was a bit bold.  So the third card I made I spritzed the inked stamp and that was the result I like.  So if you want to give your stamped image a bolder look adding a little mist does the trick.

Colorful Seasons stamp set is timeless, along with the Seasonal Layers Dies it is a great addition to your crafting collection.  Be sure to put it in your cart today.
