Snowflake Showcase Bloghop - featuring Snowfall Thinlets Dies

I am in love with the large Snowflake die in the Snowfall Thinlets dies. I have made at least four card with this die set.  This set of Thinlets is only available until 30 November, 2018.

The background is created using wrinkled tissue paper technique to stamp ink onto the Whisper White cardstock. A TAMs tutorial is available here.  I intentionally kept my background subtle.  I used a light hand applying the color with the tissue paper ensuring that the stamped images would stand out.   

Below is a graphic of all the Snowflake Showcase products that are time limited, available for purchase until 30 November 2018.  The White Velveteen Sheets are wonderful for die cut images. You can easily add color the White Veleteen sheet with a sponge dauber. Just as I did in this card I cased from Lisa Curcio.

Hello Friend Frosted Florals

The Fresh Florals DSP on page 29 in the Holiday Catalog is scrumptious.  It is delicate, it feels so good in your hand, and the shimmer is so subtle.  Did I tell you I really like this paper?  I do!!  This paper is so pretty that it could be wallpaper.  It is fabulous paired with the Happiness Surrounds stamp set and Snowfall Thinlets.

TIP: Adding and extra layer of card stock gives the card depth and it the perfect way to hid the ends of the Braided Linen Trim.  I laid a thin line of glue down along the seam of the Frosted Floral DSP and wrapped the linen to the back of the card layer, securing with snail.

Simple Snowflake Card - featuring Snowfall Framelits

Hello!!!  Today I am sharing a card that created with the soon to be released Snowfall Thinlets.  The Snowfall Thinlets are part of a time limited set, Snowflake Showcase, that is totally amazing and only available in the month of November.  The card design today is inspired by Jane Allmark, a wonderful UK Stampin' Up!(R) demonstrator.  

   Measurements:

Whisper White Thick base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4  

Watercolor Paper 4 x 4

Galvanized Paper layer 4 x 4 (snowflake)

Ink:

Brusho Prussian Blue 

Blueberry Bushel

TIP: The first task to accomplish with this card is coloring the watercolor paper with Brusho. Mist the paper with water, use Aqua Painter to apply Brusho. Once you have achieved desired level of coverage set aside to dry. While it is drying you can die cut snowflake and frame.  You can spritz Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol on while drying to give it some shimmer.
