Abstract Beauty DSP

 Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Today's card features the Abstract Beauty DSP,  this is the first 4" x 6" paper pack offered by Stampin' Up! that is gorgeous and cheery.  Used the Beautiful Shapes Dies to create a colorful background and my favorite stamp set Biggest Wish added the perfect sentiment. 



Card Measurements: 

  • Magenta Madness CS card base - 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2"
  • Magenta Madness CS layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Crushed Curry CS layer for die cuts - 5" x 3 3/4"
  • DSP - Die cut 1- pieces with 3rd largest hexagon die from Beautiful Shapes Dies
Tip: Start gluing hexagon shapes in center and save any cutoffs to fill in sides or corners if needed. Used Beautiful Shapes Dies circle for sentiment.

Share It Sunday Blog Hop - Love You Valentine

 


Hey Crafty Friends!!  Today I am participating in the Share It Sunday Intenational Blog Hop and sharing a simple Valentine card that features the Sweet Talk DSP, Playful Alphabet Dies and the Stripes Splatters Embossing Folder.  This card design was inspired by a new babt card created by Katie Drew, a UK demonstrator.  


Card Instructions:
  1. Start with 8 1/5" x 5 1/2" Blushing Bride card base, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
  2. Cut Highland Heather CS 5" x 3 3/4", glue to card front.
  3. Cut four (4) DSP strips 3/4" x 3" and 1/2" x 3, rip the ends and glue to 4" x 3 1/2" Basic WHite CS as pictured.  
  4. Die cut "LOVE" form Playful Alphabet Dies in Highland Heather, Real Red and Blushing Bride. 
  5. Emboss 1" x 2 1/4" Basic White CS and attach letters with glue.
  6. Use Stampin' Seal to secure ribbon.  Attach to card front with dimensionals. 
  7. Stamp YOU onto scraps of white CS, trim and attach with dimensionals. (I just picked a random stamp set that had the word "you".)

2022 Calender - Finally got it done!!

Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Today I am sharing my overdue calendar creation for 2022.  I have had the supplies for a while, but I had a brain block on how I wanted to put it all together.  Finally after a bit of searching and a few protypes I settled on these two cuties.  The Cactus Cuties Bundle and the Sunshine & Raindbows DSP were a perfect match for this project.

  • Bermuda Bay CS card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4" 
  • Bermuda Bay CS support strip - 2 1/2" x 5", score at 1/4", 1 1/4" and 2 1/4" 
  • Magenta Madness CS - scrap, stamp pot with Magenta Madness ink and fussy cut
  • Granny Apple Green CS - scrap, stamp cactus with Granny Apple Green ink and fussy cut
