Simply Zinnia Gratitude Card

It's the last Monday of February!! Today I made another card with the Simply Zinnia stamps, dies and the Flowering Zinnia's Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This new suite of products and many others will be available in the Online Exclusive store starting 5 March, 2024. 

  

Card Instructions
  1. Start with Melon Mambo card base cut 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score & fold at 4 1/4".
  2. Attach DSP layer cut 3" x 4" to a Melon Mambo accent layer cut 4 1/8" x 3 1/8", then secure to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. 
  3. Cut Basic White cardstock strip 1" x 4 1/2" and  stamp sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  
  4. Punch right side of strip with Banners Pick A Punch and attach as shown.  
  5. Stamp single flower onto Basic White cardstock scrap with Melon Mambo ink and then brush same ink over flower with Blender Brush.  Stamp leaves in Mossy Meadow ink and blend over with Lemon lime Twist.  Die cut both stamped images. 
  6. Attach flower and leaves to card front as shown.  Be sure to add a dimensional under left side of flower for support. 
  7. Add desired number of gems.  I used my "go to" 2023-2025 In Color Dots.

    Monochrome Friday - It's Sweet Sorbet!

    Hey Friends!! time for another Monochrome Friday Insta-Hop.  Today is a Sweet Sorbet notecard kind of day.  I created a Sweet Sorbet ink background by laying down some ink on my silicone craft sheet, spraying on some water and picking it up with my Basic White card stock. Once it was dry I stamped my image from the Color & Contour Stamps using black ink.  To finish it off I made a frame using the Scalloped Contours Dies.  No bling on this card today just paper and ink.

    Prior to removing the paper from the die cut frame I used a craft knife to trim out the center of the die cut to make the frame. I added some splatters with my Sweet Sorbet and Basic Black markers for some visual interest then attached the frame using liquid glue.  I think this is a perfect little notecard.

      Quick and Easy Monday - featuring Simply Zinnia available March 5, 2024

      Welcome Friends!  Today's card is a quick and easy card creation that is great for beginner cards makers or card classes.  This is just ink, stamps, paper and embellishments.  I am using a new stamp set the Simple Zinnia that will be available in the Online Exclusive section of the Stampin' Up! store on March 5, 2024.   


      Card Instructions:

      1. Cut Mossy Meadow cardstock 4 1/4" x 11", score and fold at 5 1/2" for card base.
      2. Adhere 5" x 3 3/4" piece of *Flowering Zinnia Designer Series Paper onto card front using glue. 
      3. On a 3" x 3 3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock stamp flowers from the *Simply Zinnia stamp set onto left side with Berry Burst ink. 
      4. To the right of the flowers stamps the sentiment with Mossy Meadow ink. 
      5. Attached stamped piece to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. 
      6. Finished it off with 2023-2025 In Color Dots

        Monochrome Hop - Tropical Parakeet Party

        Hey Friends!  I missed posting my monochrome card on my blog Friday, which features the fabulous Parakeet Party from the 2022-2024 In Colors. This color is so bright that it gives me a tropical vibe, so the Tropical Leaf Bundle was the perfect choice. The card came together so quickly it all started with a little bit of stenciling on the Parakeet Party layer with one of the Foursquare Decorative Masks and Parakeet Party ink.         When I have a large sentiment and lots of white space I like to add some splattering with a Stampin' Write Marker to fill up some of that space.  I  like they way it completes the card. Give it a try the next time you have a lot of white space.
