How About a Creative Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends!!  This month I organized and hosted a Creative Challenge called Let's Make A Card for the DOStamper STARS.  The participants had to send a 4-piece kit of specific items to a designated person.  That person had to make a card using the items in the kit plus one product from their personal stash.  The results have been beyond my expectations, the STARS are so creative.


This was my kit from Dawn Olchefske.  It contained Rich Razzleberry CS card base, Crumb Cake CS, Pressed Petals DSP, and Pressed Petals Washi Tape.  I don't have any Pressed Petal products so it was fun to play with them, especially the washi tape.

    • Rich Razzleberry card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", fold and score at 4 1/4"

Tip: This type of craft activity is fun to do with your team, craft parties, and  even kids would enjoy it.  Happy to share details about this creative activity for your team or customers, this is something that can be fun and done from a distance during this time of mass quarantine.

TIP: The best tip I have for this card or any card that has two colors of cardstock it is to use the Subtle 3D-Embossing Folder.  It adds that bit of texture and interest that easily replaces DSP.  It is a good thing.

3-Gingham Cats #DOswts334 Inspiration Hop


Hey Crafty Friends!!  How about some punch art today?  I created this card for a team challenge with the DOStamper STARs.  I enjoy punch art and this one was a bit of a challenge. Thank goodness for Pinterest--my inspiration hot spot.  Here are 3 clever cats made using colors from the Brights Collection.  I really like the Brights, so cheerful this time of year.

Tip:  I lined up the DSP with center of punch to make the body.  I found it was easier to punch a half circle than cutting a circle in half with a scissor.  The nose and whiskers were free handed -- I am definitely not a artist. lol.  Popped the heads up with a few mini dimensionals. The rhinestone eyes remind me of cat eyes in the dark.  I think this card needs a video.  Hopefully soon.
