#DOswts386 - Sketch Inspiration Card featuring Tea Boutique DSP & Cup of Tea Stamps

Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!! Well, I am a bit behind this weekend, let's just say Friday the 13th lasted two days. I should have posted this card yesterday, but that is another story. This card features Tea Boutique DSP and the Cup of Tea stamps, pages 12-13 of the 22-23 Annual Catalog (AC). This is a mini slimline card and I adapted one of our Slimline Envelopes (page 137, AC) to fit my card.
 
Card Details
  • Thick Basic White CS card base - 7" x 6 1/2" , score and fold at 3 1/2" 
  • Orchid Oasis CS layer - 6" x 2 3/8"
  • Tea Boutique DSP - 6" x 2", scraps for die cut tea pots using Stylish Shapes Dies. 



Envelope Details
  • Trim envelope length to 6 3/4"
  • Cut DSP 2" x 3 7/8, score at 1/2"
  • Use glue to attach to new flap to inside of envelope
  • Add Tear-n-Tape for seal

My Stamps A-Z featuring Amazing Silhouettes Bundle

Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Today I am beginning a new series called, My Stamps A-Z.  I am doing this to make sure I give some love to all my stamp sets.  Many times I find myself using the same sets over and over and only using some stamps once.  The Amazing Silhouettes is one set that I can only recall using once.  Time to give it some love.  


Card Details
  • Pool Party CS card - 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2", plus scrap for Amazing Thanks sentiment
  • Basic White CS layer - 4" x 5", die cut with Scalloped Contour Dies or retired Stitched So Sweetly Dies, plus scrap for Amazing Thanks sentiment
  • Classic Matte Dots - color white dots with Dark Pool Party Stampin' Blend



Card Details
  • Gray Granite CS card - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
  • Melon Mambo CS layer - ripped at 3 3/4" x 5" , plus scrap for die cut sentiment
  • Basic White CS stamped layer - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4", plus scrap for die cut sentiment




Card Details
  • So Saffron CS base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"

Nature's Prints Bundle Card - Playing at Freshly Made Sketches

Hey Crafty Friends!!! Today I am doing something I have not done in ages, sharing my card on the Freshly Made Sketches blog (FMS 534).  It is one of my favorite sites to visit for weekly inspiration.  Here is my interpretation of this week's sketch.  Of course I used the Nature's Prints Bundle, that is part of the Sun Prints Suite. 



Card Instructions
  • Start with Tahitian Tide CS cardbase cut measuring 11" x 4 1/4", scored at 5 1/2".
  • Cut Basic White CS layer 5 1/4" x 4" and stamp as directed below.
    • Stamp large leaf image with Orchid Oasis ink on bottom left portion of CS, be sure to stamp off once onto scrap paper.
    • Stamp over the leaf image with the splotch stamp 3 times, using Parakeet Party ink, be sure to stamp off. 
    • Add splatters with Tahitian Tide and Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Write Markers. 
    • Glue stamped layer to card base. 
  • Stamp sentiment with Starry Sky onto Basic White CS and die cut using label die.
  • Using Blending Brushes to apply Sweet Sorbet and Tahitian Tide ink to scrap piece of Basic White CS, then die cut 3 small dies from Sweet Sorbet and long, skinny leaves from Tahitian Tide.  
  • Use Stampin' Seal to secure die cut foliage to back of sentiment label.  Secure label and foliage to card base with Stampin' Dimensionals.  
  • Add desired number of 2022-2024 Matte Decorative Dots. 

I love the clean look of this sketch, that is the heart of FMS - keeping it clean, fresh and sometimes -- minimal. THis card fits in perfectly. Be sure to visit the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out all the great #FMS534 cards.
