TIP: To create the speckled background I flicked the brush end of my Basic Black Stampin Blends marker over the embossed image with my fingernail.  A bit messy for your finger but the results are worth it.  You can do the same with Wink of Stella to add some sparkle to your cards.  The Lovely Floral Dynamic Texture Impressions Embossing Folder is a big favorite.

The Lots of Lavender stamp set was my favorite in the Sale-A-Bration catalog. It is perfect for any occasion. I love it for adult birthday cards, it is especially perfect for a mature persons like me.  lol
I think it is absolutely gorgeous stamped on the Wood Texture DSP.   The Eclectic Expressions (also a Sale-a-Bration item) sentiment is perfect for this card.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #275 - Monochrome Color Theory

Hello and welcome to this week's DOStamper Stars Thursday "Card Sketch Challenge" #275 using the Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack to create a monochromatic card for a swap.

Tip: As I was putting this card together I felt it needed more bling.  Initially I just had the Glitter Enamel Dots on the stamped flowers.  Added some Sliver Glimmer paper that I colored with the Dark Old Olive Stampin Blend marker to maintain the monochrome theme and jazz it up a bit.

TIP:  I colored the Silver Metallic Enamel Shapes with Bermuda Bay, Light Cherry Cobbler, and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin Blends and let them dry for 15 minutes prior to putting on the card.
