Balmy Blue Card for Hot August Day

Hi Crafty Friends!!  It has been so hot here in North Texas, the grass is turning brown, and the wind keeps blowing.  So how about a Balmy Blue card today to match our bue skies. This is a design I have used in the past and it is perfect for the Perennial Essence DSP.  That paper is so beautiful, it is a work of art.  

Card Measurements:

Balmy Blue base 4 1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5 1/2

Balmy Blue layer 4 x 5 1/4

Perennial Essence DSP 1 3/4 x 6, cut at 1/2

TIP: The best tip I can give for this card is to put together top layer completely before attaching to card base.  That is the method that works best for me.

Simple Sunday Card - Magnolia Lane DSP Flip

Hi Crafty Friends!!  Welcome to Simple Sunday Card installment #2,  continuing with Magnolia Lane DSP.  Another simple card this week using a single sheet of DSP with a flip.  Cut the DSP layer and flip the bottom portion to show off the both sides of this beautiful paper.  

Card Measurements:

Mossy Meadow base 4 1/4 x 11, score and fold at 5 1/2

Basic Black layer 4 1/8 x 5 3/8

Magnolia Lane DSP 4 x 5 1/4, cut at 1 3/4

TIP: This card is very easy to build in batches.  I made 24 of this card following these steps in about 3 hours.  

1. Cut, score and fold base. 
2. Cut cardstock,DSP and liner layers.
3. Stamp and die cut sentiment.
4. Die cut sentiment accent layers. 
5. Glue DSP to card stock layer together and glue to card base.
6. Glue sentiment layers together and attach with dimensionals.
7. Adhere white layer insdie card.
8. Add embellishement.

Hello Crafty Friends!!  this week I am Independence, MO attending the Missouri Basketweavers Guild Annual Convention.  Wanting to share my love of Stampin' Up!  I made 175 cards for the convention welcome bags.  I love sharinig my love of card making, what a great way to make new friends.

I took my first class yesterday and I made a Farmhouse Table basket.  This has to be the longest basket I have ever built.  It is 22 inches long.  Keeping it flat was my biggest challenge but I had a great instructor, Dianne, was awesome.
