Kerchief Card Kit Part 2!!!

Hey crafty friends!!  Let's look at the Poppy Parade cards from the Kerchief Card Kit.  Remember this kit is FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-A-Bration.


Poppy Parade Kerchief card made per instructions. 

Early Espresso card base and Petal Pink layer with Small Bloom Punch (FREE) flowers.
Early Espresso card base and used dotted Petal Pink inside of envelope for layer. 
Petal Pink card base with Early Espresso layer & Small Bloom Punch (FREE) flowers.
The Small Bloom Punch I used in two of the cards above is available for FREE with qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration.   The flowers were punched from the back of the original card and I added a few embellishments to the flower centers.  Even though these cards are basically the same and have the same message a few simple changes make them unique.   Start filling your cart Sale-A-Bration ends 31 March!!

Kerchief Card Kit -- Free during Sale-A-Bration

Hey Crafty Friends!!  Today I am sharing a portion of the Kerchief Card Kit that is FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  This kit of bandanna inspired designs is perfect for beginners, busy crafters or crafters on the go.  The primary colors in this kit are Coastal Cabana and Poppy Parade -- so pretty!!  In this post I am focusing on the Coastal Cabana cards.  I made one per the kit instructions and three slightly altered.  Let me know what you think!!



Made per instructions in the kit, just left off the twine.
No stamping required!!
Trimmed card front to 4 x 5 1/4, used other half of card for white
accent layer and attached to a Night of Navy card base.

 card was trimmed and used as a liner inside card for a note.

 twine to this card.  SO easy!!

Happy February - Happy Valentines - New Host Code

Hey Crafty Friends!!  How do you like my new blog banner?  This month to celebrate my new banner I am challenging myself to post everyday in February and host a giveaway.  Everyone that leaves a comment this month will be entered in a random drawing for one of the projects featured on my blog plus a surprise. 

Today I am sharing a Valentine card that I call Flowing Hearts.  This is one of my favorite layouts and it is a great way to show off the Designer Series Paper - at least a little glimpse of it.


Card Details:
  • Paper 
    • Flirty Flamingo base 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2, plus scrap
    • Real Red layer 5 3/8" x 4 1/8", plus scrap
    • Shimmery White layer 5 1/4" x 4", plus scrap 
    • From My Heart DSP  two strips 1/2" x 6" and one at 3/4' x 6"
  • Stamps
    • Heartfelt
  • Ink
    • Real Red
  • Tools 
    • Heart Punch Pack 
Tip:  Cut the strips long and adhere them to the Shimmery White cardstock layer then trim ends.  Now build the card front layers and attach to card base

For my card I chose to have a Real Red card base and added a stamped layer using the Heartfelt stamp set (151417) from the Mini Catalog.

#DOSWTS331 - Stamping with the STARS -- Card Sketch with Painted Poppies

Hey crafty friends!!  Today I am Stamping with the STARS and bringing you a sweet birthday for our Inspiration Hop using a simple sketch for our guide. 

Card Details:

Tip:  I separated the strands of the Blackberry Bliss twine from the Nature's Twine bundle.  The twine alone is very thick and I want a more subtle look, so separating the strands gave me the look of "less is more".
