Country Floral Birthday

Hey Crafty Friends!! One of my absolute favorite embossing folders has to be the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  The deeply engraved details just speak to me.  It is a folder that stands alone, it does not need to be paired with DSP, punched flowers, or minimized in anyway.  It looks good in any color, just a beautiful folder.  Today I have pink birthday card to share.

Tip: I used a craft ink blending brush to apply the ink to the embossed layer using a "dry brushing" technique.  The ink can be applied as light or as heavy as desired.  Sponges, daubers and ink appled directly to embossing folder work as well.  The card below is brushed lighter than one above.

Abstract Impressions - Keep Me Stamping!!

Hey Crafty Friends!  Last week Stampin' Up! introduced a stamping color challenge to keep us going during these crazy times using the hashtag #keepstamping.  We were challenged to create a project using one or more of the following colors.

TIP: I wrapped the twine around the card layers 3 times securing it with snail on the back.  Then used a small piece of twine to tie it together in front and covered the knot with the sentiment.

Celebrating Dads today!! #DOSWTS336


Hey Shelter-in-Place Crafty Friends!!  I hope you all are doing well and coping with the stay at home orders.  All 5 of us are home and we are making it, but sometimes I just need to go for a ride in the car.  Today, the STARS are celebrating Grads and Dads on this hop and in our Facebook group.  I chose a Father's Day card for my project today using the Tropical Oasis DSP.  I love this paper, thanks to my friend and teammate Pam Watkins for sharing it with me.

Simply Ornate

Hey Crafty Friends!!  Today is a quick card using the Ornate Style and Ornate Thanks stamps set with some ink, watercolor paper and a bit of water. Enjoy!!

TIP: This stamping technique is so easy and can be done with most stamps.  Apply the ink to the stamp, spritz lightly with water and stamp on watercolor paper.  The more water you apply the more the ink spreads.  One of my favorite techiniques.
