#DOswts384 Sketch Inspiration Hop featuring Abstract Beauty Products

 


Hey Crafty Friends!!  It's another STARS bi-monthly Sketch Inspiration Hop.  Today, I am sharing a card made with some products from the Abstract Beauty Suite, page 48-50 of Jan-Jun Mini Catalog.  The Hello Beautiful stamps for my sentiment, two coordinating pieces of  Abstract Beauty DSP, and some subtle bling with the Adhesive Backed Hexagons.  Creating from a sketch is one of my favorite ways to make a card.  


Card Instructions     
  1. Start with Just Jade CS card base cut 11" x 4 1/4", scored and folded at 5 1/2".
  2. Add 5 1/4" x 4 " Magenta Madness CS layer to card base with glue.
  3. Cut DSP one of the solid DSP colors 1 1/8 x 4 5/8".  Cut a coordinating piece of DSP 4 1/2" x 1" and attach to solid DSP layer and glue them together.  
  4. Cut Basic White CS 5" x 3 3/4", attach DSP strip to left side and then glue white layer onto card base. 
  5. Cut 3 squares of solid DSP 1/18" x 1 1/8" and three of another color DSP 1" x 1" and glue together.  Attach to card front as pictured with dimensionals. 
  6. Stamp sentiment in Just Jade ink and squiggle figure in Magenta Madness.
  7. Add desired number of Adhesive Backed Hexagons.

Crafty Collaborations Bloghop - March Paper Pumpkin Kit , Beyond the Horizon Alternatives

 



Hey Crafty Friends!!! We are having weird weather in Texas again. On Tuesday I turned on the AC, well now it is Friday and the heat is back on. Tomorrow is the temps are supposed to hit 90. Ugh. Anyway, today I am sharing an alternative card from March Paper Pumpkin kit, Beyond the Horizon, perhaps one of my all time favorite kits to date. There is a video demonstrating a version of this card, it was so easy peasy - I mean everything you need is in the box. I did add some Misty Moonlight and Basic White CS, but that was all.

 

Card Details
  • Misty Moonlight CS card base - 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2"
  • Kit deconstructed envelope - 3 1/2" x 5" and 3/4" x 5
  • Basic White CS liner - 4" x 5 1/4" 
  • Kit die cut elements and ink

Saying Goodbye to 2020-2022 In Colors

Hey Crafty Friends!!! This month folks who enjoy Stampin' Up! products are saying goodby to a ton  beautiful products.  Today I am sharing my last card made with all the 2020-2022 In Colors.  I really love this group of colors, especially Misty Moonlight -- in my dreams it will return as a regular color whenever they do a color refresh.  In this card I used Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, Just Jade and Magenta Madness cardstock, Bumblebee ink and Magenta Madness embellishments.  I think it is fabulous and a great display of theses wonderful colors.  





Card Instructions

  1. Start with Cinnamon Cider CS card base measuring 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". 
  2. For inside liner cut Magenta Madness CS  3 1/2" x 5 1/2" and top with a Basic White CS cut 3 1/2"  x 5" and secure together with favorite adhesive and attach to inside card base. 
  3. Cut Misty Moonlight CS 1 1/4" x 5 1/2, dry emboss with Gingham Embossing Folder and attach to card base with adhesive. 
  4. Use Bumblebee Ink to stamp Daisy Garden image onto Basic White CS and die cut with third largest Scalloped Contours Die.  
  5. Use second largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut a piece of Just Jade CS.  
  6. Attach stamped layer to Just Jade layer and then use dimensionals to secure to card front.  
  7. Add desired number of Magenta Madness embellishments from 2020-2022 In Color Square Gems pack. All Done!!
