Finally, I am getting around to sharing cards I made from past Paper Pumpkin kits.  A kit I truly enjoyed was the October 2015 Blissful Bouquet kit.  Here are two alternate cards I made from the kit. I made several but failed to get any pictures of them before I gave them away.  It was easy to create additional cards with this kit.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #185 - Home Sweet Home Challenge - Timeless Textures

Welcome to this week's DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we are having a "Home Sweet Home" challenge using the picture below as inspiration. Don't forget to scroll down to visit the other Stars creations for this week.   

 

 

 

The butterflies caught my eye in this challenge.  Although, I am not particularly fond of butterfly cards I have found myself using them a lot lately in my card making.  Maybe I like to give butterfly cards, not receive them, hmm... I originally made this card earlier this week for a Pink and Brown themed swap on Swap-Bot. This is the third card I have made with this layout/design and it worked perfectly for this challenge.  The Timeless Textures stamp makes a wonderful random background in Soft Suede.  I chose to use Soft Suede because the Chocolate Chip ink looked almost black to me on the Pink Pirouette.  The ribbon is Early Espresso seam binding (retired) and the butterflies are from the long ago retired Butterfly Wings Embosslits.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #184 - Color My Challenge - Layering Love

Welcome to this week's DOstamperSTARS Thursday Challenge. This week we are having a "Color My World" challenge using the sketch below as inspiration. Don't forget to scroll down to visit the other Stars creations for this week.

 

 

 

 

 



First,  I must say this is a totally CASEd card from Rosanne Mulhern, a super talented card maker, that I found on  Pinterest.   It was love a first sight and I knew I had to give it a try with this color combo.  I really do not like to work with Basic Black, unless it is ink but I decided to make the black standout instead of being an accent color in this card.  The sentiment is embossed and I softened the edges of the top layer with a Timeless Textures stamp and Whisper White ink. I am extremely happy with the results.   Tomorrow I will be showcasing this card in my card class, can't wait to see the color combos the girls come up with.   Who doesn't love Pinterest.

Card Sktech Monday - FMS 239 and PPA 303

It's Card Sketch Monday!! Today I am participating in the Freshly Made Sketches challenge FMS239 and I combined it with a Pals Paper Art color challenge PPA303. Here is my creation.

It is so easy to make a card when you have a great sketch and a terrific color combo, as usual the ladies at FMS and PPA did not disappoint.  I started with a Sahara Sand card base measuring 5 1/2 x 4 1/4, added a layered group of  Night of Navy, Mint Macaron and English Garden DSP (retired) for a perfect focal point.  To finish it  off  I punched 2 1/2 inch circles in Mint Macaron and Whisper White added a sentiment from Tin of Cards stamp set and attached Night of Navy flower with White Perfect Accents dot.
