Lots of Lavender - Sale-a-Bration

Hello from Kerrville, Texas.  I am in Kerrville for the annual Texas Basket Weavers Association conference.  I thought I would have lots of time to blog about all my cards, but the baskets have distracted me. lol

Do you like free!!!  Lots of Lavender is a lovely stamp set that is free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-a-Bration. Here is a card I made for a swap using this set and embossing powder. I really like this stamp set, because I love lavender, especially lavender plants.

Card Measurements:
Extra Thick Whisper White Base  4 1/4 x 5 1/2
Basic Black Layer 4 x 5 1/4
Wisteria Wonder Layer 3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Silver Foil  1 x 6
Whisper White 3 x 3
Basic Black and Whisper White scraps for sentiment

TIP:  Stamped complete image prior to running paper through Big Shot with Lots of Labels framelits.  At the time I was not sure which label to use.  I tried a larger one, but it covered too much of the background,  the smaller framelit shows off more of the Embossing Powder background and Silver Foil layer.  Again this is all trial and error, you have to go with what looks good to you.

Sunday Card Share - Happy Wishes (two ways)

Happy 2018!!!

I took an unintentional blog break during the holidays.  While on my blog break I continued to make cards and paper crafts for the holidays.  I just did not have the time or energy to share.  But now I am back ready to share some great cards that I received in swaps.

It is the time of Sale-a-Bration and the Occasions catalogs at Stampin Up.  A wonderful and exciting time after the holidays to earn free products.  Today I am sharing one of my favorite Sale-a-Bration stamp sets, Happy Wishes,  that is available for FREE with a qualifying purchase.   These are the only two cards I received using this set.  Both are fantastic examples of this terrific stamp set.

Each card is unique and varies in difficulty and technique.  I love the fussy cut image in this card.  It truly makes the stamp stand out.  The contrast of colors draws your eye to the stamp.

The background stamp from the Wood Words stamp set is the perfect compliment for the flowers on the Happy Wishes stamp.  Stamping the background in the same color as cardstock add interest without overwhelming the lovely tri-color stamped image.

Happy Thanksgiving - Paper Pumpkin Alternatives

Happy Thanksgiving!!!  Hope all is well where ever you may be.  At holiday time I am a baking fanatic.  I have spent the last week making biscotti for friends and family.  Today I am sharing with you a packaging idea that worked great for my biscotti or any cookie.

Supplies needed:

Punches: 1", 1 1/4". 1 1/2", 1 3/4"
Paper: Very Vanilla, Painted Autumn DSP, Cajun Craze
Ribbon: Your choice (mine is retired)
Ink: Cajun Craze
Stamps: September Paper Pumpkin Layered Leaves

Paper Pumpkin is a gift that keeps on giving.  The stamps in the September kit, Layering Leaves, are perfect for Thanksgiving and Fall.  I absolutely love this kit, the leaves are gorgeous and it is one of my keepers.  Here is another treat bag using the leaves from the kit.  I also stamped leaves from the Colorful Seasons kit -- another favorite.   I used Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Crushed Curry and Soft Suede inks on this one.
