Sunday Catalog CaSE - Artistically Asian

Today's card is CaSE'd (Copy and Share Everything) from page 135 of the annual catalog.  I love the calming nature of this set.  It reminds me of my many years living in Japan.

Tip:   Several stamping techniques used to make this card.  The Sun was created using a mask from the Layering Circles Framelits and sponged with Crushed Curry until I achieved the desired effect.  A Stampin Marker was used to get the splatter effect,  I flicked the lid across the brush end to get the splattering done.  Stamping off was used for the Bamboo.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #288 - 2018-2020 In-Colors

TIP: I fussy cut a few flowers to cover excess white space on sentiment circle.  I could have stamped images to fill in blank space as well under the sentiment.  (Fussy Cutting by definition is to target and cut a specific motif.  Sometimes it can be a chore, but it is usually worth the time.)

Sunday Catalog CASE - Rooted In Nature

Today's project is a gift card holder that I CaSE'd from page 142 of the annual catalog.   

Measurements:

Powder Pink Base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, score at 3 1/4 and 5 1/4

Whisper White Layer 1 1/2 x 4 1 /2 and 2 3/4 x 4 1/2

Technique Tip: The leaf image was stamped using an embossing piece from the framelits that I attached to a stamping block with a few glue dots.  The glue dots kept the framelit secured while I stamped away.  After I finished stamping I separated framelit from block, removed glued dots and washed the framelit in warm water.

Happy 4th of July.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day celebrating our freedoms with friends and family.  We  are relaxing at home with hamburgers and watermelon.  Fireworks later down town.
