Friday Card Share - Garden Impressions Suite

One of my favorite bundles is the Garden Impressions suite on page 128 of the Annual Catalog.  The bundle includes the Abstract Impressions stamp set and Springtime Impressions Thinlets Dies.  The  Garden Impressions 6 x 6 DSP on page 191 completes the suite.  Here are fou lovely cards I received in a catalog swap.

Monday Card Sketch FMS 346- Artistically Asian and Tranquil Textures

Focusing on the Artistically Asian stamp set this week, one of my all time favorites.  Today, I have paired it with the gorgeous Tranquil Textures DSP, it is included in the buy 3, get one free DSP sale that ends on 31 July.  The layout is inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #346.

TIP: I love to stamp on printed paper or DSP.  The key to success is color choice.  For the main image I chose a very light colored background and used a dark ink, Night of Navy.  Always test it first.  You could even go tone-on-tone with that light DSP, using Soft Seafoam ink.

Sunday Catalog CaSE - Artistically Asian

Today's card is CaSE'd (Copy and Share Everything) from page 135 of the annual catalog.  I love the calming nature of this set.  It reminds me of my many years living in Japan.

Tip:   Several stamping techniques used to make this card.  The Sun was created using a mask from the Layering Circles Framelits and sponged with Crushed Curry until I achieved the desired effect.  A Stampin Marker was used to get the splatter effect,  I flicked the lid across the brush end to get the splattering done.  Stamping off was used for the Bamboo.
