#DOswts386 - Sketch Inspiration Hop with Rustic Harvest DSP

Hey Crafty Friends!!! Time for another Stamping with the Stars Sketch Inspiration Hop. I kept my card very simple and as usual I am showing off the Designer Series Paper (DSP). I love the Rustic Harvest DSP and I added some color to the pumpkins with my Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend to make those pumpkins standout.
Instructions
  1. Start with Old Olive card base cut 8 1/2" x  5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4".
  2. Cut DSP 4 3/4" x 2" and adhere to card base approximately 3/8" from bottom. 
  3. Add second piece of DSP cut 3 3/4" x 2 1/2".  If using Pumpkin DSP color pumpkins with the Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blend prior to attaching to card base. 
  4. Stamp sentiment onto white scrap with Pumpkin Pie ink.  Punch out with Label Me Fancy Punch.
  5. Attach a bit of Silver Threaded Twine with Tear & Tape on back of sentiment label.  Separate the threads and attach to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Technique Card - Dry Brushing with Craft Ink

Hey Crafty Friends!!! Sorry for taking so long to put up another post, things have been a bit whacky at the Peck household.  Today, I am sharing a technique card with video demonstration.  I used out White Craft ink to dry brush an embossed layer.  They I mixed a bit of WInk of Stella (for all my friends that love sparkle) with the craft ink and splattered it on.  My card is intended for an Autumn birthday, but it would work well as a Thanksgiving or Christmas card.  The ribbon I used on this card is retired, in my products list I will recommend a replacement.

    • Mossy Meadow card base - 11" x 4 1/4",score & fold at 5 1/2"
    • Mossy Meadow embossed layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
    • Basic White scrap for die cut sentiment layer

Crafty Collaborations Blog Hop - Metallics and My Stamps A-Z Celebrate Sunflowers

 

Hey Crafty Friends! Today I am creating with Celebrate Sunflowers stamps, as part of My Stamps A-Z highlighting my older stamp sets. This post is also part of a blog hop with my international Crafty Collaborators featuring metallics. I chose the Brush Metallic Cardstock to stamp and heat emboss with the large sunflower. Love the outcome the black ink and embossing powder just melded together to make a unique dark gold color.

 
Card Details
  • Paper 
    • Early Espresso card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4"
    • Mango Melody layer 3 3/4" x 4 1/2"
    • Brushed Metallic layer - 3 1/2' x 3 1/2" 
      • Stamp image in favorite black ink
      • Apply embossing powder 
      • Heat set 
  • Ink
    • Memento Tuxedo Black 
    • Early Espresso 
  • Other stuff
    • Clear Embossing Powder
    • Heat Tool 
    • Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim 

Tip: Have ink (it needs to be somewhat juicy), embossing powder and heat tool ready to go before stamping.  Stamp image and immediately apply embossing powder, tap off excess and heat set.
