Create and Play with Classic Garage DSP

Hey Friends!  Today's project is a challenge from my friend and leader of the STARS, Dawn Olchefske.  She sent several STARS a kit and told us to get creative!!   My kit contained pieces Classic Garage DSP, so I made a father's day card.  So perfect for my husband, he loves cars and travels around the country photographing races -- that is his hobby.

Basic Gray base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 

 Classic Garage DSP red layer 5 1/2 x 1

Classic Garage DSP oil can 5 x 3 3/4

Classic Garage DSP dark gray 1 x 4

Whisper White liner 5 1/2 x 4

Tip: Since some DSP is not very thick and I wanted to wrap the ribbon around this DSP and tie a knot I added a layer of cardstock.  This give the DSP more stability and keeps it from wrinkling or ripping if I tie the ribbon too tightly.

Demonstrator Training Blog Hop - Love It, Chop It!!

Hello friends!! Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's training group blog hop for February 2019. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators working with Kylie from Australia to learn more about improving our Stampin' Up!! (r) businesses. Today I am embracing the Kylie's philosophy of "love it, chop it".  She has a point why buy DSP that is totally gorgeous, that you adore so much you hate to cut it up only to have it waste away in your stash.  Cut it up and share the love. I did and it was fun. Two pieces of Botanical Butterfly DSP made 24 fantastic cards.

  Measurements:

Highland Heather base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

You can make this type of batch cards with any DSP.  So easy and quick, check out my process below. The best part of this is that Botanical Butterfly DSP is free with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration, so that make this batch of cards even sweeter.  

I use an assembly line process to create a big batch of cards. Here are my steps in this big process:

• Cut DSP (two sheets 12 x 12) 3 x 4 
• Cut Basic Black layer 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 
• Cut Whisper White liner for inside card (I always add a liner)
• Prep 24 card bases 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 
• Gather Ribbon and any other embellishments
• Cut 24 pieces of Whisper White 1 x 4, stamp with sentiment, punch Banner Triple Punch
• Adhere DSP to Basic Black layer (all 24)
• Adhere Whisper White liner inside card bases (all 24)
• Tie ribbon onto DSP layer, add sentiment strip with Stampin Dimensional (all 24)
• Use Multipurpose Glue to attach DSP layers to card base 
• All done!! Time for pictures.

DOStamper STARS Fun Fold Inspiration Hop

Welcome to the new bi-monthly hop hosted by the DOStamper STARS, you are going to see lots of inspiration here!!

Today's project is a pop-up diorama card.  My card features the free with $50 order Sale-A-Bration set Hello Cupcake and soon to be released Call Me Cupcake Framelits, a new Sale-A-Bration coordination product that will be available on March 1st.  So exciting!!!

Measurements: 

Melon Mambo base 5 1/2 x 10 1/2

Garden Impressions DSP  2 x 5 (banner ) 

Garden Impressions DSP 3 x 5 1/2 (inside)

Soft Sea Foam  3 x 3 (die cut scallop circle)

Petal Pink 3 x 3 (die cut circle)

Whisper White  5 x 4 (die cut cupcake images)

Card Base

• Fold all scored lines, die cut circle between 1/2 inch score lines
• Stamp sprinkles and add add bit of DSP 1 1/2 x 3 (make sure you are stamping on right side of cardstock, this side folds over to create diorama 
• Stamp 3 x 5 1/2 DSP and adhere to center panel
• Use Tear and Tape to secure to inside card front

Card Front 

• Glue DSP banner to card front and use Tear and Tape to attach Whisper White Flax Ribbon
• Glue die cut Layering Circle Framelits pieces together and adhere die cut images with dimensionals
• Randomly add Epoxy Heart Droplets
