It's a cloudy, muggy day in North Texas.  It has been raining all around us in Wichita Falls, we could use some rain but all we get is a few teasing dribbles.  So how about a card sketch using the Coffee Break Suite.  Today I am playing with Freshly Made Sketches # 299.   I love this suite, it is a keeper.

How about a Coffee Break Card

Finally broke out my Coffee Break Suite to do a little card making.  This set is so yummy I think it will be very popular. This would also make a great birthday card with a gift card from your favorite coffee shop included.  I might use this for graduation cards next year.  New college freshmen love to hang out in coffee shops.  I guess it make them feel cool or whatever the current term is for coolness.

Card Measurements:
Early Espresso Card Base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Soft Sky Layer  5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Crumb Cake Layer 5 1/4 x 4
Coffee Break DSP Strips 6 x 1/2, 6 x 3/4, 6 x 1 1/2
Whisper White, Early Espresso and Soft Sky scraps

TIP: Used the shaving cream and Early Espresso re-inker on Crumb Cake cardstock to make the paper for the cups.  You can find several videos on Pinterest and You Tube explaining how to use shaving cream and re-inkers to create your own DSP.  I am calling mine Espresso Swirl.

Card Sketch Monday: Delightful Daisy DSP again!!

Each month I participate in at least two card sketch swaps on Swap-Bot.  If you like swapping just about anything, Swap-Bot is the place to go.   I have swapped cards, tea, chocolate, fabric, envelopes, stamps, and dioramas just to name a few things.   Here is a card I made for a swap earlier this month using Freshly Made Sketches archived sketch #59 for inspiration.   Of course, I had to use some Delightful Daisy DSP, my absolute favorite.

Card Measurements:
Night of Navy Card Base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Daffodil Delight Layer  5 3/8 x 4 1/8
Night of Navy Layer 5 1/4 x 4
Delightful Daisy DSP 1 3/4 x 4
Delightful Daisy DSP  1 1/4 square (x4)

TIP:  I used the Delightful Daffodil layer for the scalloped squares accenting the DSP on the car front.  Great way to save on cardstock.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #241: Delightful Daisy DSP

Hello and welcome to this week's DOStamper Stars Thursday "Home Sweet Home Challenge" #241 featuring Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  So exactly what is a "Home Sweet Home Challenge"?  The group host post a home décor picture from a magazine or one-line ad for us to use as a guide.  We can use any element, color, theme or an object, in the photo for inspiration. Can you tell which element inspired me?

Card Measurements:
Old Olive Card Base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Daffodil Delight Layer 3 x 4 3/4
Old Olive Layer 2 7/8 x 3 5/8
Delightful Daisy DSP 2 3/4 x 3 1/2
Whisper White scrap for sentiment

TIP:  When using  DSP as the focal point, as I did here.  Be careful to choose the best image to highlight on your card. Think before you cut to minimize was.   It took me a few minutes to decide where to cut my DSP.  I think I got it right, looks like I could have stamped it myself.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tea and Stamps, today.  I just love this card, so simple to create in a time crunch.  The Old Olive and Daffodil Delight are the perfect pair for the Delightful Daisy DSP.  So glad I purchased extras packages of this fantastic paper.  FYI: Stampin Up Bonus Days are back, but only for a few more days. Your opportunity to earn Bonus Day Coupon ends at 11:50 (MT) July 31st.   Earn in July, Spend in August. Check it out here.

Card Sktech Monday: Lots of Layering Love!!

Well, we have had temperatures over a 100 for the last 4 days and more to come this week.  Hopefully, it won't burn up my new lawn.  So what is a girl to do when it is so hot outside?  Stay in the cool and make cards.  For my Card Sketch Monday I decided to play with Angie Juda's Paper and Ink Sketches #20.  You can find Angie's sketch on her Facebook group  page.  This time around I decided to focus on an entire stamp set, Layering Love.  I made four cards using the 2017-2018 In-Colors, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. I love the message from this set, these days we all can use a bit more love.

Card Measurements:
Card Base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
DSP Layer 5 1/4 x 4
TIEF Strip 5 1/4 x 2
Whisper White
Tranquil Tide
Powder Pink
Fresh Fig
Berry Burst

TIP: The Fresh Fig and Tranquil Tide ender strips were trimmed to 1 3/4 inches wide.  It looked better with the smaller die cut sentiments.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tea and Stamps, today.  Layering Love is a great stamp set that makes a big statement.   I hope you enjoyed viewing four creations using the Stitched Shapes, Layering Ovals, Layering Squares and Layering Circles Framelits.   FYI: Stampin Up Bonus Days are back for the month of July. Earn in July, Spend in August. Check it out here.

DOStamper STARs Thursday Challenge #240: Artistically Asian Color Challenge

Welcome to this weeks DOStamper Stars Thursday "Color My World Challenge" #240 featuring Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzzleberry. Again I am using the Artistically Asian stamp set, I am even using the same stamp as an earlier post.

Card Measurements:
 Rich Razzleberry  base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
Old Olive  3 7/8 x 5 1/8
Sweet Sugarplum layer  3 3/4  x 5
Rich Razzleberry layer 2 1/8 x 3 1/8
Whisper White stamped layer 2 x 3

TIP: Add dimensionals between layers to give the card height and interest.  I always put dimensionals on the same layer as my ribbon to prevent a "lumpy" card front.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, Tea and Stamps, today. I hope you enjoyed viewing my card highlighting my much neglected Artistically Asian stamp set for the second time this week.  I have one more to share with you later . FYI: Stampin Up Bonus Days are back for the month of July. Earn in July, Spend in August. Check it out here.
