Introducing the Gilded Autumn Specialty DSP

 Hey Crafty Friends!!  The Aug - Dec Mini Catalog went live last week.  Well, I am in love with the Gilded Autumn DSP.  It is a beautiful mix of colors with some gorgeous foil accents added. All the colors that make you long for the crisp days of autumn when the leaves are falling off the trees. Fall is my favorite time of year so this paper is perfect for me. 

Card Instructions 

1. Start with Early Espresso card base cut 5 1/4" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4".
2. Cut piece of DSP 4" x 5 1/2 and adhere to the inside of the card front using Stampin' Seal+.
3. Stamp sentiment on 3" X 2" Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink and die cut with Tasteful Labels dies.  
4. Use same die to cut a Mint Macaron label.  Cut the label in half and glue to back of sentiment letting a bit of label show on each end.  Attach to card front with dimensionals.
5. Color 18" piece of ribbon from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon pack with Dark Mint Macaron blend.  Once dry tie tie around left side of card  front.
6. Add Gilded Gems to finish the card.  All done!!

Tip: Ribbon is placed to cover seam where DSP joins the card stock, it makes the inside look finished.  That is the backside of the DSP, so gorgeous.

2014-2016 In Color - It's an English Garden

Earlier this week I posted about the upcoming retirement of the 2014-2016 In Color group.  There are some wonderful colors in this bunch and it is hard to believe they will soon be gone.   Here are some cards I made using each color, Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  I added some  English Garden DSP and flowers from the Blossom Bunch punch to complete the set.

Tip: The Regals Candy Dots I used are too large for the smallest blossom.  To give the small blossom some color in the center I used my blender pen and Always Artichoke ink pad to darken the center of the flower.  Then I added a drop of Crystal Effects, let it dry overnight and now it matches the others flowers.
