Hello Crafty Friends! Wow, August is almost gone, school has started, my oldest survived Navy Boot Camp quarantine, so life is good here in North Texas. I sure hope all is well where ever you may be.
Today, I am sharing technique based card that I demonstrated at one of my Facebook Live Coffee and Cards events. The purpose for this card was to create a focal point using heat embossed tissue paper as a base for the Forever Flourishing Dies.
- Paper
- Soft Sea Foam card base 11" x 4 1/4" score and fold at 5 1/2, plus scrap
- Shaded Spruce layer 4" x 5 1/4", plus scrap
- Silver Foil for die cut 1 1/2" x 3
- Forever Greenery DSP strip 2" x 4"
- Stamps
- Forever Fern
- Ink
- Shaded Spruce Stamp Pad
- Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam, Mango Melody, Garden Green Re-Inkers
- Tools/Embellishments

Below is a pictorial presentation of how I created the silver embossed colored tissue paper background.
- Fill several reinkers with rubbing alcohol and add 3 to 6 drops of re-inker. You can add more for a darker color.
- Spray the tissue paper randomly with the different colors inks and allow to dry thoroughly. Should only take about 15 minutes to dry.
- Attach colored tissue paper to a 3" x 3" piece of card stock, I used Whisper White, with adhesive of choice. I used the Stampin' Seal.
- Gently apply Versa Mark directly to the tissue paper and then sprinkle on the Silver Emboss Powder. Shake off excess embossing powder and set with heat tool. This will set up quickly due to the thinness of the tissue paper.
