Paper Pumpkin Friday - Happy Father's Day!!

We usually do not get to preview the Paper Pumpkin kits before they arrive but we did the get a sneak peek at the May  Many Manly Occasions kit from the Stampin' Up!! On-Stage convention photos.  Let's say that I was very eager for this kit to arrive so I could play.  The stamp set does not disappoint it is perfect font size and great sentiments. Personally, I think the stamps are the best part of each monthly kit. Today I am sharing two alternative cards I made for Father's Day. 

Card Details

• Start with Extra Thick Whisper White Thick card base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
• Attached Schoolhouse DSP cut 5 x 3 3/4
• Orange corrugated cardstock cut 5 x 1 1/2 from May kit 
• Backed-up the "Happy" negative with Night of Navy cardstock
• Stamped Many Manly Occasions sentiment with Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock 
• Trimmed sentiment to 3/8 by 3 and punched end with Banner Punch (retiring) 
• Added a few adhesive stars from the May kit

 





Card Details

• Bermuda Bay card base cut 5 1/2 by 4 1/4
• Crushed Curry accent piece cut 5 3/8 by 4
• Whisper White layer cut 5 1/4 x 4
• Decorative geometric piece was cut from card base in kit and sponged with Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry and Pool Party inks and attached with Fine Tip Glue Pen
• Changed the "Happy" sentiment from original Pool Party to Basic Black and then applied thick layer of  Fine Tip Glue and let dry to give a glossy finish (tip), attached with Stampin' Dimensionals
• Many Manly Occasions sentiment stamped in Bermuda Bay and added a few Pool Party stars from kit

This kit is so flexible and the design options are endless.  I will definitely order a refill for this one.
