Valentine Blog Hop!! - Meant to Be Bundle

Welcome Crafty Friends!! Today's I am participating in a blog hop with my fellow DO Stamper STARs demonstrators to share some candy packaging ideas.  I used the Meant To Be Cling Bundle and the all My Love DSP for my sweet treat box.   I am loving the Be Mine Stitched Framelits in the bundle.  I bet you are going to love it as well. 

Boxes are so easy and quick to put together for a treat.  The hardest part is deciding what candy you want to put inside.  I kept mine simple and used four Hershey's Minatures wrapped in All My Love DSP.  If you love Valentines this is a must have DSP, it will also work great for birthdays.

Tips for making treat boxes:

• Full disclosure this is general guidance for box making and the method that I use.  There are plenty of videos you can watch for more detailed guidance.  If you like to "wing it' like me, then the steps below should help you get it done. 
• Decide on number of treats 
• Layout treats on grid paper to estimate size of box bottom 
• Mine box bottom measured 1 7/8 x 2 1/16
• Measure side of treat to get box side measurement 
• Add 3/4 inch all around for sides
• Paper measured 3 3/8 x 3 9/16 scored at 3/4 all around
• Cut, score and glue 
• Do the same for the top, be sure to add at least 1/32 more to overall top and take away a bit from side measurement if you like a shorter side on your box.
