Share It Sunday Blog Hop || Exploring Splendid Autumn DSP Part 3


Happy Sunday Crafty Friends!!! Welcome to my blog and the monthly Share It Sunday Blog Hop with my international crafty friends.  For this month's card I am continuing my focus on the Splendid Autumn Suite Collection on pages 36-37 of the Sep-Dec 2024 Mini Catalog.  


Card Instructions:
  1. Start with Moody Mauve card base cut 11" x 4 1/4", score & fold at 5 1/2"
  2. Cut Splendid Autumn DSP 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and cut coordinating DSP strip 1" x 5 1/4" and attach to first DSP layer using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. 
  3. Attach 8" of Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon over left side of DSP layers. Secure ribbon with Mini Glue Dots
  4. Adhere DSP layer to card base using glue. 
  5. Cut floral or senic DSP to measure 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" and  adhere to card using Stampin' Dimensionals. 
  6. Using a scrap of Basic White cardstock stamp chosen sentiment with Moody Mauve Classic Ink and  attach to card using Stampin' Dimensionals. 
  7. Add gems if desired.

    #DOswts436 - Sketch Inspiration Hop || Exploring Splendid Autumn DSP Part 2

     

    Hi Crafty Friends!  Welcome to today's Staming with the STARS Sketch Inspiration Hop hop I am sharing another Splendid Autumn card creation.  I used the coordinating stamp set, Autumn Expressions, for the sentiment.  Hope you find some inspriation here.  


    1. Start with Pecan Pie card base cut 11" x 4 1/4", score & fold at 5 1/2"
    2. Cut DSP 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to card front. 
    3. Cut Cajun Craze layer 2 7/8" x 2 7/8" and  2 3/4" x 23 3/4", then glue layers together and attach to card front using Stampin' Dimensonals.
    4. Stamp Autumn Expressions sentiment onto Pecan Pie scrap and die cut with Spotlight on Nature die. 
    5. Cut 4" strip of Wild Wheat Rustic Striped Ribbon and attach to back of die cut sentiment layer using Stampin' Seal.  Adhere sentiment to card with glue. 
    6. Add desired number of Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins






    Tip: To keep the die cut circle level add Stampin' Dimensionals under area that hang over the solid layer.

        Exploring Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper - Part 1

        Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Today and for the next few posts I will be sharing projects made withe the Splendid Autumn Designer Series Paper (DSP).  This 6" x 6" paper pack is gorgoeus and perfect for fall cards and paper projects.   Hope you find some inspiration here. 


        Card Instructions:
        1. Start with Basic Beige card base cut 11" x 4 1/4", score & fold at 5 1/2"
        2. Cut DSP 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" and adhere with Multipurpose Liquid Glue to card front. 
        3. Cut DSP 3 3/4" x 3 1/4" and attach to card front using Stampin' Dimensonals.
        4. Cut Basic White cardstock 3 3/4" x 2".  Stamp Thoughtful Wishes sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink center right and a splotch in bottom left corner. 
        5. Die cut two sprigs from Thoughtful Whishes Dies and attach with glue.
        6. Adhere sentiment panel to card front with glue. 
        7. Add desired number of  Adhesived-Backled Pearl Trio.

        On the inside I layered 5" x 4 3/4" white card stock over 5 1/4" x 4" DSP layer.  It is a beautiful way to finish a card and use up extra designer paper.

            Color Blocking for TGIF Color Challenge - #TGIFC498

            Hey Crafty Friends!! Today my inspiration for this card is color, specifically Berry Burst, Crumb Cake and Night of Navy.  This color challenge is hosted on the TGIF Challenge Blog (#TGIFC489) and Facebook page.  It has been a minute since I did some color blocking on my cards.  This card was lots of fun to create and it is one of my favorite this year.  Hoep you find some inspiration here.

              • Spotlight on Nature

              • Night of Navy card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/4", score & fold @ 4 1/4" 
              • Berry Burst accent layer - 5 1/8" x 2 5/8"
              • Basic White inked & stamped layer - 5" x 2 1/2", scrap for sentiment
              • Crumb Cake - scrap for diecut sentiment
            • Ink 
              • Berry Burst, Crumb Cake, Night of Navy

            I cut masking paper into 1/8" strips to divide the white cardstock into blocks and appliedy ink using blender brushes.  I used sticky notes to keep color contained to one area.
