Simple Birthday with Peaceful Poppies DSP


Hey Crafty Friends!!   Today I am participating in a monthly blog hop hosted by Kylie Bertucci and as part of her worldwide Demonstrator Training Program.  Be sure to stop by all the blogs for some global inspiration.

If you have ever needed a card in a hurry, this is the one for you.  It is simple, but oh so beautiful because I used the wonderful Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.  This paper is my all time favorite, I don't know if it can be topped.

Card Swaps 


Berni sent me a card that is made to hold tea bags or a gift card. She even included a nice bag of tea for me.  The Parisian Blossoms DSP pairs nicely with Cherry Cobbler cardstock. 

Susan used Gold Emboss Powder to enhance the beauty of the flower cluster in the Forever Blossom stamp set.

Pam added a touch of whimsy to her card by adding a device under the large flower that allows it to move.  How fun.  That DSP is beautiful.

You can really appreciate the beauty of the stamps and dies on Tina's card.  I love the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder, the perfect backdrop for this layout.

Tammie embraces simplicity with her card.  This DSP is so beautiful  Who knew Pool Party and Petal Pink would look so good together.

Becky added Whisper White Craft ink to her Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder to emphasize the de-bossed portion of the folder.  This is a great technique to show off the beauty of embossing folders.

#DOswts330 - Valentine Treat Bag


Welcome Crafty Friends!! Today it is all about Valentine's.  I made a sweet bag that will hold lots of treats or a nice gift.  I love the From My Heart DSP and I know you will too.  


Project Details:
  • Paper
    • From My Heart Designer Specialty Paper 6"  x 6" (2 each)
      • Score at 1 1/2" on 3 sides 
    • Real Red 2" x  9 1/2"
      • Score at 1" on short side 
    • Real Red 3/4" x 8" (2 each) for handles 
  • Stamps
    • Heartfelt (2020 Mini Catalog)
  • Ink 
    • Real Red
  • Punches 
    • Heart Punch Pack (2020 Mini Catalog)
Tip: I found the instruction for this bag on Facebook, created by Karin de Laat, a Dutch Demonstrator. This is her video instructions for this gift bag.  You may wonder why two pieces of 6" x 6" DSP instead of one piece 12" x 6"?  I surely wondered the same thing.  After making the bag per directions provided I found it to be very sturdy, especially if making a gift bag with DSP.  The cardstock rim add more support, so this is a really sturdy bag.  I like sturdy.  I am ready to try this technique with larger sizes of DSP.
