Hopping Around the World - Spotlighting Parcels and Petals

Tip: Spotlighting is a stamping technique that highlights a small portion or certain areas of a stamped image.  I stamped my image across the front of my card and die cut a portion.  I highlighted the die cut piece using a scalloped die cut that was slightly larger.  Popped them up with dimensionals.

Mother's Day is Sunday!!!

Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Are you ready for Mother's Day?  I am.  This year I am celebrating all the mother's in my life.  I want these special women to know that my family and I appreciate them and love them so much.  Being a mom has been one of the most challenging and rewarding parts of my life.

Tip: I have a video on my Facebook page demonstrating how I made the flowers using sponge daubers, ink and water on our Whisper White cardstock.  This was probably one of the funnest projects I have done in a while.  When I applied the ink to the paper it did not look promising, but you will see that looks are deceiving.

Tip: I colored my sequins with the Dark Blackberry Bliss Blend.  I colored each one twice to get the depth of color I wanted, our blends make the perfect coloring tool when you need an embellishment to match.
