Valentine Treat Bag with Tuck In Flap - Corrected Post

Hey Crafty Friends!!! Well my first post about this little project went out early by mistake.  That is what I get for planning ahead.  Today, I have a quick and easy treat bag for you that can be used for any occasion.  I have made this one for Valentine's using the Sweet Talk DSP and Heart Punch Pack.  The sentiment is from the February Paper Pumpkin kit.  Enjoy!!



 Package Details:

  • Bag 
    • DSP cut 9" x 6"
    • Score on 9" side at 1 1/2"
    • Score on 6" side at 1 1/2", 4 1/4", 5 3/4" and 8 1/2" 
  • Flap 
    • DSP or CS cut 2 1/4" x 2 3/4
    • Score on 2 1/4" side at 3/4

Note:  This project was inpired by post from Karin Papercraft, a Dutch demonstrator.  Her bag was much larger, gift bag size.  I adjust the meaurements for what I neede.  Soon,  I will publish a "How To" video describing my method for figuring out measurements for making boxes and bags.

Abstract Beauty DSP

 Hey Crafty Friends!!!  Today's card features the Abstract Beauty DSP,  this is the first 4" x 6" paper pack offered by Stampin' Up! that is gorgeous and cheery.  Used the Beautiful Shapes Dies to create a colorful background and my favorite stamp set Biggest Wish added the perfect sentiment. 



Card Measurements: 

  • Magenta Madness CS card base - 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2"
  • Magenta Madness CS layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
  • Crushed Curry CS layer for die cuts - 5" x 3 3/4"
  • DSP - Die cut 1- pieces with 3rd largest hexagon die from Beautiful Shapes Dies
Tip: Start gluing hexagon shapes in center and save any cutoffs to fill in sides or corners if needed. Used Beautiful Shapes Dies circle for sentiment.

Share It Sunday Blog Hop - Love You Valentine

 


Hey Crafty Friends!!  Today I am participating in the Share It Sunday Intenational Blog Hop and sharing a simple Valentine card that features the Sweet Talk DSP, Playful Alphabet Dies and the Stripes Splatters Embossing Folder.  This card design was inspired by a new babt card created by Katie Drew, a UK demonstrator.  


Card Instructions:
  1. Start with 8 1/5" x 5 1/2" Blushing Bride card base, scored and folded at 4 1/4"
  2. Cut Highland Heather CS 5" x 3 3/4", glue to card front.
  3. Cut four (4) DSP strips 3/4" x 3" and 1/2" x 3, rip the ends and glue to 4" x 3 1/2" Basic WHite CS as pictured.  
  4. Die cut "LOVE" form Playful Alphabet Dies in Highland Heather, Real Red and Blushing Bride. 
  5. Emboss 1" x 2 1/4" Basic White CS and attach letters with glue.
  6. Use Stampin' Seal to secure ribbon.  Attach to card front with dimensionals. 
  7. Stamp YOU onto scraps of white CS, trim and attach with dimensionals. (I just picked a random stamp set that had the word "you".)
