Stamping Made Easy

We all like to be creative.  I know I do, I enjoy card making, basket weaving, and cross stitch. Card making for me is the most satisfying and the most intimidating at the same time.  At times I just need to step back and simplify.  I did that over the weekend when I created two simply stamped cards.  Just paper, ink and stamps.  Two stamps sets, 4 inks pads and a set of Stampin' Up! Note Cards and Envelopes.  

Flowering Desert

We are surrounded by the Prickly Pear cactus in North Texas, it is almost time for the yellow flowers to bloom.  They don's last long, but are beautiful mixed in with Mesquite trees.

It was truly enjoyable to create with just ink, stamps and paper.  No scissors, no glue, not layers, how simple and portable. Hope I have inspired you to do some simple and relaxing stamping.

DO Stamping with the STARS Spotlight Technique Inspiration Hop featuring Pop of Petals

Hi Crafty Friends!!  Welcome to the DOswts #311 hop.  Today I am doing a little "spotlighting" using the Pop of Petals stamp set.  This is another quick and easy card technique that I know you will want to try.  

Measurements:

Gorgeous Grape base 5 1/2 x 4 1/4

Basic Black 5 3/8 x 4 1/8

Whisper White layer and liner 5 1/4 x 4

Ink:

Momento Tuxedo Black

Daffodil Delight Light and Dark Stampin' Blends

Highland Heather Light and Dark Stampin' Blends

TIP:  I stamped my layout and then used the Layering Circles to cut out portion I wanted to color with the Stampin' Blends.  Cut a Basic Black circle to help cover the opening.  I also double layered the dimensionals to make it pop.

Animal Expedition Suite Birthday!!

Hey Crafty Friends!! Here is a quick and easy card for you today using the Animal Friends Thinlets Dies and the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper.  These products are two elements of the super amazing Animal Expedition Suite, found on page 26 of the Annual Catalog.

Card Recipe:

• Card Base - Gray Granite cardstock cut 8 1/5 x 5 1/2 folded to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4
• Animal Expedition DSP layer - cut 5 1/4 x 4, adhere to card base
• Sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings, pg 46 AC, Basic Gray ink 
• Stamp "Happy Birthday" on 1/2 x 2 Whisper White card stock  
• Adhere 1 x 2 piece of Basic Gray card stock behind sentiment and trim at angle 
• Attach to card from with Stampin Dimensionals
• Die cut Rhino form DSP sheet and attach to card with Stampin Dimensionals 
• All done!!
