Fine Art Floral - Rip and Flip Technique

Hey Crafty Friends!!!  I love it when I stumble to a new technique or something that I have never tried before.  Today my card is made using a simple Rip and Flip technique that learned about on YouTube from Jacque Williams, a New Zealand Demonstrator.  I am hooked!!  It is always exciting to try something new.  



Card Details

  • Paper 
    • Pool Party CS card base 11" x 4 1/4", score and fold at 5 1/2"
    • Basic White CS layer 5 1/4" x 4"
    • Fine Art Floral DSP 5 1/2" x 3 7/8" 
  • Stamps 
    • Lovely You 
  • Ink 
    • Pretty Peacock 
  • Accessories 
    • Label Me Fancy Punch, White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Dark Pretty Peacock Stampin' Blend, Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels

TIP:  The Rip and Flip is easy.  Make sure to cut your DSP slightly longer than the Basic White layer, rip the DSP about 1 1/2" and flip one side over to show both sides of DSP.  Overlap the DSP to fit onto the white layer.

    Keep #SimpleStamping - Featuring Positive Thoughts Stamp Set

    Hey Crafty Friends!!! Time for the April Keep #SimpleStamping from Stampin' Up!.  The purpose of the challenge is to create and share easy-to-make projects to show you, my friends and followers, how enjoyable papercrafting can be.  Each month the challenge requirements change just a little, but basically it is paper, ink and stamps.  This month they added "share your favorite retiring product" and the theme is "Thanks".




    Card Instructions
    1. Cut card base 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", score and fold at 4 1/4".
    2. Cut Basic White layer 5 1/2" x 4" and stamp leaves and butterfly from Positive Thoughts Stamps.  Add sentiment of choice. 
    3. Attach to card front with glue and add embellishments to butterfly.  

    This card comes together so quickly.  I absolutely love the Positive Thoughts stamp set, I can't believe it took me a year to buy it.

    For the April Keep #SimpleStamping we can add a favorite retiring product.  I used the retiring Gold Glitter Enamel Dots #152155.  I love the variety of sizes in this pack of dots 3mm, 4mm, 5mm and 6mm.
